Baltic states to create a joint infantry battalion

But will they end up fighting each other?

Baltic defense ministers met last week in Lithuania to discuss their contribution to the NATO fast reaction forces: a common infantry battalion in 2010.

Anyone who’s done or attempted to do business at a pan Baltic level knows well the difficulties of getting Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians to work together. Let’s hope the armed forces can perform better than the private sector.
