Hesburger empire expands to Lithuania
Condolences to our Lithuanian friends.
The Finnish fast food chain Hesburger has announced it will open three new restaurants in Lithuania. "Up until now our operations in Latvia have been successful. That is why we have decided to expand the company," a Hesburger representative said.
For years, Hesburger’s success has baffled expatriate burger aficionados living in the Baltic States. “White Castle, now those are terrible,” noted Jack Striker, a well-known expat burger booster, “but it has a distinct taste and appearance. Hesburger—there’s nothing memorable about it.” Striker said he would increase his McDonald’s burger consumption in retaliation against Hesburger’s expansion.
Hesburger currently has 11 restaurants in Estonia and seven in Latvia.
