Old Town Vilnius declared rabies zone
Beat up in Riga, but bitten in Vilnius: Will this boost Tallinn tourism?
The Old Town in Vilnius has been declared a rabies danger zone after a dead fox was discovered infected on March 7th. The municipality has ordered the quarantine office to catch and destroy homeless cats and dogs in the district, and police will crack down on regulations for keeping domesticated animals. Restrictive measures will be lifted in two months if no other cases of rabies are discovered.
