Wiesenthal Centre criticizes Estonia
Reluctance to prosecute or simply no evidence?
The Simon Wiesenthal Centre claimed in its recently published report that Estonia displays low interest in convicting war criminals who worked in the Nazi German security forces. Two Estonians were named: Businessman Harry Männil, who lives in Venezuela, and Mikhail Gorshkov, who resides in Estonia.
The Wiesenthal Centre has criticized Estonia in the past for its lack of interest in pursuing the conviction of war criminals. The Estonian security police has maintained that the evidence is not convincing.
