Estonia gets new US Ambassador

Stanley Davis Phillips sworn in

On Monday, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice swore in the new American ambassador to Estonia, Stanley Davis (Dave) Phillips. According to protocol, Mr. Davis will assume the title of Ambassador after his credentials are presented to the Estonian government. This should take place at the end of April.

Stanley Davis Phillips, former president of Phillips Industries, hails from the state of North Carolina, and has worked as the state’s Secretary of Commerce and also served as a board member of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington.
