Riots' impact

Business suffers

As a sign of the declining economic relations between Estonia and Russia, the major Russian commercial chains have started to remove Estonian goods from their shelves. The fifth largest store chain in Russia, Sedmoi Kontinent, which sells nearly 250 Estonian products from tins to alcoholic drinks, announced on Saturday that it will cease to sell Estonian goods.

Russian businessmen recognize that the disruption of diplomatic relations between the two countries hurt their interests, as well, recognizing that Estonia is an important transit corridor for Russia.
