Lithuanian businessmen say media corrupt

Pot calls kettle (and self) black.

More than half of a 502-CEO sample of Lithuania’s CEOs see the country’s media as corrupt, and over 90% believe that reports in newspapers and on television can completely destroy their businesses or personal lives, a Transparency International survey has revealed.

The majority of businessmen also said they felt Lithuanian business is corrupt, 12.1 percent of them admitting to making payments to the media to ensure favorable coverage.
