Stylish Smugglers Dazzle Lithuanian Customs

In a white kimono on skates? Lithuanian customs officers arrested a Russian smuggler in early February traveling from Kaliningrad across the frozen Nemunas River. The smuggler wore a diving suit under his clothing to protect himself should the ice have broken. The man was transporting 8,400 packs of cigarettes with Russian tax stamps.

Smugglers in strange outfits have become more frequent in Lithuania. Customs officers recently arrested a smuggler in a white kimono and skates.
