US Ambassador boycotts art museum opening
Not sharing klieg lights with Harry Männil.
The US Ambassador to Estonia, Aldona Wos, chose not to participate in the February 17th opening ceremonies of Estonia’s new KUMU art museum, since foreign Estonian Harry Männil took part.
Männil is a resident of Venezuela and one of the museums financiers. The United States believes that during the Second World War, Männil was connected to the Nazis and involved in crimes against humanity. Estonia has conducted its own investigation which spanned five years and has said it is satisfied with its conclusions.
