Estonian and Swedish Parliaments: Investigate the M/S Estonia

Back to the sea floor?

The Estonian parliamentary committee for the investigation of the transport of arms on the sunken vessel M/S Estonia and a like Swedish parliamentary group are both of the opinion that the investigation into the Estonia’s sinking should be continued. Neither committee would rule out the necessity of sending divers to the shipwreck.
The investigative committees of the two parliament stated that in each country that their citizens think the other country is hiding something. “The Estonian side thinks that Sweden is hiding something. Sweden thinks that we hide something. A part of investigation materials have been declared confidential. We don’t know what part. We didn’t get the answer from the Swedish side either,” said Margus Leivo, the chairman of the Estonian committee.
