Tallink buys three more "Superfast" boats
Yes, but how fast will they go?
The local press reported this week that Tallink Grupp concluded the purchase of Superfast VII and Superfast VIII ferries with a loan for 4.4 billion kroons (280 million euros). If you’re shopping for your own boat, each goes for around 103 million euros. The new vessels will sail under the Estonian flag on the Hanko-Paldiski and Paldiski-Rostock routes, and the first voyage should take place within the next few days. A third vessel, Superfast IX, will be purchased in the next few days.
It seems the whole country gets excited anytime anything new is purchased, whether a bridge, a boat, or a BMW. And why not? But please at least tell us how fast these will go.
