Every day is Sunday in Lithuania
Why not take off all year?
The Easter holiday was a long one in Lithuania this year—consuming both Monday and Tuesday of the week. According to newly-adopted regulations, a national holiday is transferred to the next working day if it falls on Saturday or Sunday.
Since City Paper covers all three Baltic States, is edited by an American, and is owned by a Finnish company, we have decided to not work on any holiday celebrated by any of the five countries connected with our magazine. Look for us to publish again in, say, 2011.
