Tallinn-Helsinki fast ships start season
Finally, no more eight-hour trips.
Travelers on the Helsinki-Tallinn route may rejoice: the fast boats have begun operation. Our correspondent Vello Vikerkaar may also now relax, as he is no longer relegated to the big, slow boats where, as he puts it, “by the second hour of the journey drunken passengers have urinated all over the bathroom floor.” While our experiences on the big boats have been positive, those sharing Vikerkaar’s sentiments now have the option of traveling with Nordic Jet Line, Linda Line, Silja Line, or Tallink. Vello Vikerkaar still prefers Copterline, “because,” he says, “there are no bathrooms on board.”
