Singapore businessman: "Seems we are not welcome in Estonia"
Tolaram Group halts 38 million euro investment.
Singapore-based Tolaram Group has stopped a scheduled 38-million-euro investment in its Estonia-based Horizon Paper, because the consultants and engineers it required—mainly from Singapore, India, and Indonesia—were denied Estonian visas. “Seems we are no longer welcome here, despite the hundreds of millions of kroons we have invested since 1995,” said Tolaram’s chief, Sonny Aswani.
Despite Aswani’s requests, Estonia has provided no explanation as to why the visas were denied.
