Really made from feathers sucked through NATO-jet engines?

Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga expressed gratitude to visiting Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands for supporting defense of Baltic air space (Baltic-based NATO planes routinely patrol the Baltic). The president also expressed satisfaction that both coastal nations share many common views, even though they are not close neighbors. The president also mentioned, inside sources suggest, that the two share common views on hats.

Another source reported that Queen Beatrix’s hat was made from feathers of birds which had been sucked through the jet engines of NATO planes. The queen, said the source, can remember times when Holland was not wealthy and likes to see that nothing goes to waste. At press time, this source could not be located for confirmation of the previous two items.
