Skype's creators buy another Estonian tech firm
Country soon to be re-named “Skype”
Ambient Sound Investments, a company belonging to the Estonian Skype founder, bought one third of the Estonian radio communications company Modesat Communications for 7.8 million kroons (a half-million euros).
Modesat is the third technology investment of Ambient Sound. The Skype authors, Jaan Tallinn, Toivo Annus, Ahti Heinla and Priit Kasesalu, seem to be quietly purchasing most of the Estonian tech companies. And since they have more than 100 million euros to spend, we predict soon they will announce they own all of Estonia.
