Taxi driver mows down minister
Drivers so discourteous, even Defense Minister can’t get a break
Bicycling Estonian Defense Minister Jürgen Ligi suffered minor injuries when he was run over by a taxi Sunday evening. The taxi driver made a left turn, ignoring Ligi’s right-of-way. Ligi suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was released some time later. The police reported the taxi driver was sober.
The City Paper editor, who travels by bicycle in Tallinn and frequently experiences the barbaric drivers, urges Minister Ligi to set an example: have the taxi driver shot.
