Falck nails 27,881 ticketless riders
Poor Tatyana caught 26 times
Falck Tallinn city transport workers caught 27,881 people riding without tickets in the first six months of 2006—an increase of more than 5,000 ticketless riders versus the same period year ago. Fines issued to offenders totaled roughly eight million Estonian kroons (one-half million euros).
Taking honors for most ticketless rides is 53-year-old Tatyana, who has been caught by Falck 26 times—once per week over the measured period. City Paper offers her a free ten-pack of bus tickets, if she can make it to our office without Falck catching her.
