Lithuanian PM greeted by Bush
Bush can be your pen pal, too.
This week, local press reported that Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas received a letter from George W. Bush congratulating him on becoming Lithuania’s head of the government (the new Lithuanian government formed on Friday, August 4). “Lithuania plays a significant role in restoring peace and stability in Afghanistan and Iraq. My country is grateful to your government, especially for leading provincial reconstruction team in western Afghanistan,” the U.S. President said in his letter. Kirkilas did not say whether he would frame the letter.
Given this new warm, personal relationship, Lithuanians may wish to correspond regularly with Mr. Bush:
