Ilves' vision for Estonia

...as if occupation never existed.

“Today, fifteen years after the restoration of independence, I dare to articulate a task and an obligation...in five years we need to hand over a state that looks and acts as if occupation never existed to the first generation that was born and raised in the new, independent Estonia,” said President Toomas Hendrik Ilves in his inauguration speech to the Estonian parliament.
