Fewer casinos in Estonia
What does “interministerial concordance” mean?
A new Estonian gambling law has been sent for “interministerial concordance,” LETA news service reported. The effect of the law will be to decrease the number of casinos at the expense of smaller casinos. Currently casinos must have at least eight gaming machines or four gaming tables. According to the new law, a minimum of 30 gaming machines and seven tables will be required. The Ministry of Finance estimates that the new law will shut down approximately half the country’s casinos. Hooray for that, City Paper says. And we hope the “interministerial concordance” will result in some “cityfiable desleazification.”
