Estonia's love affair with pharmacies
And only one of them open all night?
The count is in, and Estonia, with one pharmacy for every 2,500 people, has the largest number of pharmacies per capita in Europe. (For those of you who dine out on this kind of trivia, the European average is one pharmacy per 7,000 people.)
Despite these numbers, though, Estonia is suffering from a shortage of pharmacists. You don’t have to be John Maynard Keynes to see the solution here, but we’ll leave it to the experts to debate.
