Japanese Emperor to Visit Estonia

Press hasn’t yet started complaining

Japan’s Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko will officially visit to Estonia on May 24 and 25 at the invitation of Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves. “The visit of the Japanese Emperor is one of the biggest expressions of respect that the Japanese state pays to other countries,” said President Ilves.

There has been yet no mention of security measures required for the emperor’s visit. We hope that these will not be too great an imposition on the Estonian people. And if they are, we trust the press will let us know.
